Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to the details and photos you send through this website. It is written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, email sales@mpgates.co.uk.

Who is responsible

MP Gates and Handrails - West Midlands, Unit 20, Canalside Industrial Estate, Wedgbury Way, Brierley Hill, DY5 3JU. Matthew is the person who decides how your details are used.

What I collect through the quote form

Your name and phone number (required), and, if you choose to give them, your postcode, the service you are interested in, a message and up to three photos. A shortened, one-way scrambled form of your internet address is stored with the enquiry to stop automated abuse. The photos are resized and the location data inside them is removed before they are stored.

Why, and on what basis

To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. That is taking steps you have asked for before a contract, and my legitimate interest in answering the people who contact me. Your details are not used for marketing and are not sold or shared for advertising.

Who else handles it

To run the form I use a small number of services that process data for me: Supabase (database and private photo storage), Resend (the email that tells me about your enquiry), Cloudflare Turnstile (checks that a form is sent by a person) and Vercel (website hosting). Photos are shared with me only through private, expiring links.

How long it is kept

Enquiry details are kept for 24 months and then deleted. Photos are kept for 12 months and then deleted. If you ask me to delete your enquiry sooner, I will.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not set any cookies that are not strictly necessary, so there is no cookie banner. If website analytics are switched on, they run in a privacy mode with analytics storage denied, which means no analytics cookies are set. Call, WhatsApp and form events may be counted without identifying you.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details I hold about you, have them corrected or have them deleted. Email sales@mpgates.co.uk and I will respond. If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
